Waiter Terminal — Take Orders on Phones, Tablets and Handhelds
The waiter terminal is Genu's mobile screen for taking orders at the table; it runs at garson.genu.tr in the browser of any phone, tablet or Android handheld and can be added to the home screen like an app (PWA). The waiter signs in with a 6-digit PIN, picks the table and adds items with their options and notes; once sent, the order lands instantly on the kitchen display and the right station's printer. Orders guests place from the QR menu come to the waiter for approval first; nothing reaches the kitchen or the bill before it is approved. Items being prepared and items that are ready are shown separately; extra items, moving a table and bill requests are done from the terminal. Waiter calls from the table arrive as notifications. If the same check is being edited at the till, the waiter sees it in view mode, so two people never write over each other. No devices to buy: your team's phones are enough. When a QR order arrives the waiter's phone gets an instant notification, repeated after 30 seconds if it is still waiting for approval. A waiter with assigned areas sees only the tables in their areas and can approve only their orders; every approval and rejection is recorded with who did it.
