Split Payments and Bill Splitting — By Person, Item or Amount

Split payment is how a single check is settled in Genu POS with several payments and several payment methods. The cashier picks one of three ways: split evenly (enter the number of guests and each share is calculated), split by item (everyone pays for what they had) or a free amount (part in cash, the rest by card). Cash, card, meal card, customer account and comp can all be used on one check; each payment is entered on a numpad, the remaining amount updates on screen, and change is calculated for cash. Meal cards are recorded per provider — Multinet, Sodexo, Ticket, Setcard, Metropol, Paye and Winwin — and reported on separate lines in the end-of-day report. If a customer display is connected, the remaining amount also appears in front of the guest. On a till with Genu Desktop, split payments keep working when the internet drops. Split payment is part of the POS screen on the Pro plan.

Yes. With split by item, each guest's items are selected and only their total is charged.

Which meal cards are supported?

Multinet, Sodexo, Ticket, Setcard, Metropol, Paye and Winwin. Each provider appears on its own line in the end-of-day report.

Can a guest pay part in cash and the rest by card?
