02 — Apps
Install Genu Desktop on the cashier; the waiter, kitchen, and owner panels run in the browser — use "Add to Home Screen" on a tablet to make them feel native.
A desktop app that runs on the cashier PC. The cashier interface and the thermal printer bridge in one window — it prints tab tickets for the kitchen and receipts for the customer from the orders coming in through the dashboard. Works with any ESC/POS-compatible device, Chinese-made thermal printers included.
Manage N printers from a single cashier PC. Station-based routing.
Windows spooler, direct TCP 9100, USB. Fails over to the backup on error.
ş/ğ/ı/İ print correctly even on Chinese-made printers. If they can't, it falls back to s/g/i.
Even if the internet drops or the agent crashes, no job is lost — it is sent once the connection returns.

03 — First Launch
Double-click the release file on the cashier PC. On Windows, SmartScreen: 'More info → Run anyway'.
Venue Settings → Printers → New Genu Desktop → generate a 6-digit code. The code is valid for 10 minutes.
When Genu Desktop opens, enter the server URL + the code. Once paired, it moves to the 'Printers' tab.
Pick the Windows printer name in the dashboard (e.g. XP-80). Print a test receipt and check the Turkish characters.
