Restaurant POS and Check System
Genu POS is Genu's check and cashier (POS) screen for restaurants, cafés and bars; it runs inside Genu Desktop on the cashier PC or in the browser at kasa.genu.tr. The table map shows areas such as Main Hall, Garden and Terrace; tables can be moved or merged into one bill. Two devices never edit the same check at once: the second stays in view mode and can take over with one logged tap. Payments are taken in cash (with change), card, meal card, customer account or as complimentary, and the bill can be split by person, item or amount. Till cash tracking shows the cash that should be in the till in real time, and the end-of-day (Z) report brings sales, VAT and voids into one document. When the internet drops, a till with Genu Desktop keeps selling. The POS screen is part of the Pro plan. The permission limits are explicit: cancelling a confirmed item, reducing its quantity and changing its price belong only to the cashier and manager, a reason is required and it is written to the audit log and the end-of-day cancellation list; a discount is applied only when the check is closed, with a reason. A waiter can close only an empty table.

Turn On the POS
On the Pro plan, enable the cashier screen under Settings > Modules and set up your areas and tables.

Add a Cashier
Under Staff, create a cashier with a 6-digit PIN.

Start the Till
Install Genu Desktop on the cashier PC or open kasa.genu.tr/[slug] in the browser; the cashier signs in with a PIN.

Sell and Close
Open the table, enter the order, take payment; the Z report is prepared at the time you set.

What computer do I need for the POS?
Your existing Windows cashier PC. Install Genu Desktop or open kasa.genu.tr in the browser; no special hardware to buy.
What happens if two cashiers edit the same table at once?
The check is locked. The first device edits, the second stays in view mode and can take over with one tap; the takeover is written to the audit log.
Which meal cards are supported?
Multinet, Sodexo, Ticket, Setcard, Metropol, Paye and Winwin. Each provider appears on its own line in the end-of-day report.
Which plan includes the POS?
Pro. Checks and the cashier screen, the kitchen display, thermal printing, takeaway/pickup and the Z report are included; ₺24,999 per year, VAT included.
Who can cancel items, change prices and discount?
Item cancellation, quantity reduction and price changes are for the cashier and manager only; each needs a reason and is recorded with who, when, which amount and why. A discount is applied only when the check is closed, with a reason; a waiter can do none of these.
