Kitchen Display System (KDS) for Stations
The kitchen display (KDS) is Genu's system that shows orders on a screen in the kitchen, station by station; it runs at mutfak.genu.tr in the browser of a tablet, TV or computer. Each menu category maps to a station (bar, grill, pizza, desserts…) and each station sees only its own tickets. Sub-stations can be set up, such as a barista under the bar. Every ticket counts the time since the order was placed, and late tickets stand out in colour. New orders are announced with a sound alert, which also plays on iPhone and iPad. A ready ticket is marked with one tap and the status reaches the waiter terminal and the order ready screen. Kitchen staff sign in with a 6-digit PIN. If you like, a kitchen ticket can also print on the station printer alongside the screen. The kitchen display is part of the Pro plan; no dedicated KDS hardware is needed.

Frequently asked questions
What device do I need for the kitchen display?
Any tablet, TV or computer with a browser; no dedicated KDS hardware needed.
Can the bar see only drinks?
Yes. Categories map to stations, so the bar screen shows only bar tickets.
Does the sound alert work on an iPad?
Yes. The new-order sound also plays on iPhone and iPad.
Can I use both the screen and kitchen tickets?
Yes. While the order lands on the kitchen display, a ticket can also print on the station's printer.
