About Genu

Genu is a POS and tab management system for restaurants, cafés, bars, patisseries, delivery businesses and chains. The waiter terminal, kitchen display (KDS), thermal printing, a till that keeps working when the internet drops, stock and recipes, customer accounts, expenses and the end-of-day report are in one system, with QR menu and table ordering included. The panels run in the browser, and Genu Desktop on the till computer manages printers and keeps the till running during outages.

Yes. The Pro plan (₺24,999 per year) includes the cashier screen, table-based tabs, split payment (equal, by item, custom amount), payment by cash, card, meal card and customer account, pickup, delivery and counter sales, kitchen and receipt printing on thermal printers, and the end-of-day (Z) report. Cashiers sign in with a PIN at kasa.genu.tr or in Genu Desktop on the cashier PC.

Yes. On a cashier PC with Genu Desktop installed, new orders go in, payments are taken, checks are closed and kitchen tickets and receipts print during an outage; parking checks, customer accounts, cash expenses, cash count and end of day also work offline. Cashier PINs are verified on the cashier PC, so shift changes continue too. Once the connection is back, every action is applied to the cloud in order and exactly once, and the outage window is written to the end-of-day report.

The POS and tab system is in the Pro plan at ₺24,999 per year (about ₺2,083 per month), including the till, kitchen display, thermal printing, delivery/pickup and the Z report. For venues that only want a QR menu, Basic is ₺7,499 per year; table ordering and waiter calls come with Premium at ₺14,999 per year; multi-branch is on Enterprise: 2-3 branches are bought from the panel at the Pro price per branch, with a custom quote for 4 or more. Prices include VAT, with no order commission and no setup fee, and the 30-day free trial needs no credit card.

Restaurants, cafés, bars, patisseries, fast-food, delivery and pickup outlets, and multi-branch chains. Table-service restaurants and bars use Pro for tabs, the waiter terminal, the kitchen display and the till; a café that only wants a QR menu starts with Basic; chains run their branches from one place with Enterprise. Setups by business type are described on the genu.tr/cozumler pages.

Genu sells a single package: Pro includes the QR menu, table ordering, waiter terminal, kitchen display, cashier, stock, customer accounts, expense tracking and the end-of-day report at one price; RestoMenum and Adisyo sell capabilities such as the QR menu as add-on modules, and FineDine sells menu- and ordering-focused plans. Genu's cashier keeps taking orders and payments offline with Genu Desktop. Price and feature tables, with sources and dates, are on the genu.tr/en/karsilastirma pages.

Tabs and Till

Yes, in three ways: equally by number of guests, by item, or by a custom amount. Cash, card, meal cards and house accounts can be combined on the same tab, and change is calculated automatically for cash.

Yes. Payments by Multinet, Sodexo, Ticket, Setcard, Metropol, Paye and Winwin are recorded by selecting the provider. The end-of-day report lists each meal card provider on its own line, which makes reconciliation easier.

Straight from the till, without choosing a table. Delivery tabs get the day's sequence number; you can set separate prices for table, pickup, delivery and counter, and add a packaging fee. At the counter, cash or card is taken with a single tap.

You suspend it. The tab leaves the table and moves to the red "Suspended" tab on the till; it is not counted in that day's collections. When it is paid, it is recorded on that day's report as a "collection from suspended".

There is no conflict. The tab lock prevents two devices from changing the same tab at once; the second device opens in view mode and can take over with one tap if needed. The takeover and every action on the tab are written to the tab's event log along with who did what.

No. Every order first lands as "waiting for waiter approval" and the waiter's phone gets an instant notification. Until a waiter or manager approves it, the order is not written to the kitchen screen, printer or check; a wrong order is rejected with one tap. Every approval and rejection is recorded with who did it.

No. Cancelling a confirmed item, reducing its quantity and changing its price belong only to the cashier and manager roles; each needs a reason, and the action is written to the audit log and the end-of-day cancellation list with who, when, which amount and why. A discount is applied only when the check is closed, with a reason.

Yes. Guests order pickup or delivery from the QR menu without being at a table; the order lands in the till's Online tab. There is no per-order commission; payment is made to the venue on delivery or at pickup.

In Financial Analytics: a revenue chart against the previous period, payment-method breakdown, revenue by category, top-revenue products and a weekday × hour heatmap; the end-of-day report adds staff and product detail and hourly, channel and area breakdowns.

Yes, it is emailed to the owner and the accountant at the time you set. It covers revenue, the breakdown by payment method, VAT, voids with their reasons, comps, category and item sales, and any internet outage windows. You can also run an interim report during the day, and AI writes a plain-language summary of the day. The report is built from till and check data and does not replace the fiscal Z report of a cash register (ÖKC). The end-of-day report comes with the till screen in the Pro and Enterprise plans.

The business day. Genu follows your closing time rather than the calendar date: at a bar that closes at 3 a.m., a sale at 2:59 a.m. appears on that night's end-of-day report.

Send us your menu as Excel, PDF or photos; we import it with AI and move it over together with you, and setup is done remotely. If you pay ₺10,000 or more per year to another QR menu or POS provider and that subscription is still running, we add the months left on your old plan (up to 9) to Genu as free months. Details are on genu.tr/gecis-bonusu.

Hardware and Setup

Any Windows till computer will do. Genu Desktop is installed on it, paired with your venue using a 6-digit code from the panel, and opens a full-screen, frameless till interface. It works with touchscreens, and the display scales from 0.8× to 2× for older square POS monitors such as 1024×768 and 1280×1024.

Any ESC/POS-compatible 58 mm or 80 mm thermal printer; XPrinter and POS-80 type printers run in the field; Rongta, Hoin, Epson TM and other ESC/POS printers are supported with the same command set. Turkish characters print correctly: the Chinese (multi-byte) mode of Chinese-made printers is switched off on every receipt, a calibration slip prints every Turkish code page on one sheet, and you pick the right line with one tap. On XPrinter the chosen code page can be written to the printer permanently.

Either works, plus a third option: USB, network (Ethernet or Wi-Fi, IP:9100) or a Windows system printer. Genu Desktop writes to USB printers directly, with no Windows driver or print spooler required. You can define separate printers for the till, kitchen, bar and delivery, route items by category, and fail over to a backup printer when one can't be reached.

Yes, supported. A serial-port LED customer display behind the till shows the bill total, the remaining amount during split payments and the counter basket; its port can be detected automatically.

Any phone, tablet or Android handheld terminal. The waiter terminal runs in the browser, can be added to the home screen like an app, and waiters sign in with their 6-digit PIN. They pick a table, enter orders with notes and options, and see what is in the kitchen and what is ready separately.

A tablet, TV or computer with a browser. Each station (bar, grill, pizza, desserts) sees only its own tickets, with a timer, colour-coded delay warnings and sound alerts. A TV in the dining room can also show a "Preparing / Ready" board by order code.

No. Genu does not sell or require proprietary hardware: your existing Windows computer, an ESC/POS thermal printer and your phones or tablets are enough. There is no setup fee, and setup is done remotely.
04

Setup & Usage

Usually you are up and running the same day. Sign up and enter your venue details; your menu is imported from a photo or PDF with AI, or directly from Excel. Genu Desktop is installed on the till PC and printers are checked with a test ticket; waiter and kitchen devices open in the browser. Setup is done remotely and there is no setup fee.

In four steps. Define stations like bar or grill under Settings > Kitchen Stations and map your menu categories to them. Create a staff member with the 'kitchen' role and a 6-digit PIN. Open mutfak.genu.tr/[slug] on the kitchen tablet or TV and log in with the PIN; tickets start flowing immediately.

You move your existing paper-menu categories and items into the Genu dashboard. If you prefer, bulk-import from Excel, or upload a photo of your menu and let AI extract it. Once you print the QR code and stick it on the tables, the migration is complete.

No. Customers scan the QR code with their phone camera and the menu opens instantly in the browser. No app install or signup is required.

You can place the QR code on tabletops, table cards, entry doors, or door signs. Genu provides the QR code in PDF and PNG formats. It scans at any size.

Instant. When you change a price or item in the dashboard, it reflects on every QR code within seconds. No new prints, no new PDF, no new QR code required.

Features

The till is part of the Pro plan; cashiers sign in with a 6-digit PIN in Genu Desktop or at kasa.genu.tr and work from the area and table map. Payments can be cash (with change), card, meal card, house account or comp; bills split equally, by item or by custom amount, and methods can be mixed on one tab. Card payments are recorded at the till, and the cash drawer is tracked here too, with opening float, live expected cash and cash counts.

Kitchen staff sign in at mutfak.genu.tr/[slug] with a 6-digit PIN issued by the venue owner. Each staff member is assigned one or more stations (bar, grill, dessert, and so on); they only see tickets that fall to their station. When a ticket is marked 'Ready', the waiter receives an instant web push notification.

With the Enterprise plan. Branches sit under one organisation and are managed from a single account, compared side by side, and share a brand menu that is edited in one place and published to each branch. A viewer role lets head-office staff see branches without changing them; Enterprise also comes with priority support and remote onboarding help.

No. Open Settings > Modules in the dashboard; toggle every optional module — Analytics, Orders, Kitchen Display, Cashier, Announcements — on or off with a single tap. Disabled modules are hidden from the side menu but the data is preserved — you can re-enable them at any time. Higher-plan features show as locked on the Basic plan; they unlock automatically when you upgrade.

When you create or edit an item, pick the days and hours when it should be visible. For example, breakfast items become active automatically Monday through Sunday from 07:00 to 11:00, and dinner items from 18:00 to 23:00. No manual intervention required.

For each item, you pick from the allergen list (gluten, milk, egg, nuts, and so on) and enter the calorie value. This information is shown to customers on the item detail page. It satisfies the allergen requirement in Türkiye's food regulations.

On Premium and above, you add a CNAME record at your domain provider and Genu verifies it automatically. You start serving the menu under your own brand at something like menu.myrestaurant.com. DNS propagation can take up to 24 hours.

On Premium and above, you upload 3D models (USDZ) for items. On iPhone and iPad, customers lay the item out on the table at real size with Apple AR Quick Look. No app install needed.

When you enter an Instagram username in the dashboard, customers who tap the Instagram icon in the menu are sent directly to that profile. No additional integration setup is required.
06

Pricing

Yes. After signup, you get to try every feature free for 30 days. No credit card required. At the end of the 30 days, you can subscribe or walk away.

Yes, you can cancel any time. Plans are paid annually in advance; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period and usage continues until then. No full or partial refund is made for the remaining time; consumers' mandatory statutory rights are reserved. Details: Delivery & Refunds Policy.

Instant. You upgrade the plan from the dashboard, pay the price difference, and the Pro features become active immediately.

After payment, an e-invoice is sent automatically to your email address. For corporate invoices, the Enterprise plan is preferred.

Iyzico powers acceptance of all Turkish credit and debit cards. International card support can be enabled separately for the Enterprise plan.

Absolutely not. If you have paid your old QR menu or similar provider 10,000 TRY or more annually and have unused months left on your active subscription, we add the remaining usage on the old system (up to 9 months) to your Genu annual subscription as one-time bonus months — free of charge — once you provide your invoice. You don't have to wait for your term to end to move to Genu's premium stack.
07

Featured Campaign — Transfer Bonus

If you have paid your old QR menu or digital menu provider 10,000 TRY or more annually and your subscription is still active, we add the months you have left to your Genu annual plan as one-time bonus months. The campaign caps the bonus at 9 months — even if you have more time left on the old system, the bonus is limited to 9 months. For example, if you have 4 months left on the old system, your 12-month plan on Genu becomes 16 months; if you have 11 months left, it becomes 21 months (12+9). See the gecis-bonusu page for details.

1) Prepare the e-invoice or statement for the annual payment to your old provider. 2) Sign up for the 30-day free trial at app.genu.tr. 3) Email bilgi@genu.tr with your invoice and the end date of your old subscription. 4) Approval takes 1 business day; the bonus months are added to your account automatically.

There are no brand restrictions. All QR menu, digital menu, tab, mobile POS, and similar SaaS providers are covered. The only requirements are an annual payment of 10,000 TRY or more to the old provider documented with an invoice, and an active subscription.
08

Security & Legal

Yes. Genu is built to meet the requirements of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK). For details, see the Privacy Policy and KVKK Information Notice pages.

Data is stored on secure infrastructure. Genu is run by a Türkiye-based team and data security is the highest priority.

No. All plans run on online subscriptions for annual periods. No long-term contract is signed. A contract-specific SLA is offered only as part of the custom contract for the 4+ branch Chain offer; other plans have no separate SLA contract.

While the subscription is active, all data is preserved. When you close your account, data is held for a while longer in line with legal retention periods, then deleted.
