Shift Scheduling and Timesheets

Tracking staff hours on paper costs time and creates disputes. In Genu you define shift templates and build the weekly schedule from them. When a staff member signs in with their PIN the timesheet starts automatically, and anything missing can be marked by hand. Leave requests run through an approval flow, and the hours report comes with a per-person cost column. Shift swaps run as request, counterpart acceptance and manager approval, with conflict checking along the way. Staff receive a reminder before their shift starts.

How It Works

  1. 1

    Define templates

Create your morning, evening and closing shift templates.

  2. 2

    Build the schedule

Plan the week; staff see their own shifts in the panel.

  3. 3

    Collect timesheets

PIN logins become timesheet entries; you correct the gaps.

  4. 4

    Report

Close the period with an hours and cost report nobody argues with.

Frequently asked questions

How do staff clock in and out?

With their own PIN on the time-clock keypad at the till; no separate device needed.

Can waiters swap shifts?

Yes. A swap request goes through the colleague's acceptance and manager approval.

Can I see labour cost?

Yes. The hours report multiplies hours worked by pay rate and shows the cost per person.
